The Princess in Sneakers
Daddy’s girl,
Wants to sit on daddy’s throne!
Way before daybreak she’s up,
To polish the bronze arms.
Clean the crevices,
dust off the cushions and
fluff the pillows.
After a job well done,
she steps back
to admire her work.
With a satisfied grin on her face,
there's just one more thing to do
'sit on daddy's throne'.
'Well someone’s got to test it out,
not to mention warming it up before daddy arrives’.
And like every other day, she muses
'One day, these will all be mine'
'From the exquisite palace to the loyal staff'
'From fortified kingdom to boisterous festivals'
A thriving economy, peaceful state, and happy citizens.
'Yes today, I’m the Princess in Sneakers,
But tomorrow I’ll be
the Queen, the CEO, the mother, the wife, the Boss.
And definitely I’ll still wear my sneakers’.
